OHIO FELLOW AND PILGRIMS!

HELP!!

Ohio Fellows and Pilgrims!

We invite you to make a copy of the pdf below and to review this listing of the Higher Degree members from the Ohio State Moose Association whose MOOSE LEGION membership status is either expired, dropped, or terminated.  Look for members of your Lodge and highlight their names.
Obviously, these men are no longer in good standing in the Moose Legion and thus no longer qualify for their degree.

For these men to have their degree restored, each one must be in good standing in both his Lodge and in his Moose Legion.

IF you see someone from your Lodge, contact them either by telephone or by mail.  We hope, in either case, that you can get these men to respond positively, for we need these members back in our Moose Legions.

Ask them the following questions:

1)  Are you all right?  Since we haven't seen you around the Lodge in a while,  could something possibly be wrong?

2)  Is there some reason that you are not paying your Moose Legion dues?

3) Did you know that if your Moose legion dues are in arrears that you lose your Degree until you are once again current?

(NOTE: Those listed as terminated will have to re-enroll. Also a reminder those listed as dropped may have to pay two or three years dues to get all their years of service returned and their degree restored)

Make a written record of their answers and forward them to Regional Manager Dwaine Brown.
Unfortunately, you may discover that some of these men have died, and that no one, including Moose International, was notified.  In this case, again, make a written record of the death of the man and forward this information to RM Brown.

Some of our higher degree members may be incapacitated in some manner (in a rest home, etc.). This is the perfect time to make a personal contact with the member or the family to offer aid or comfort. AND, some unit should pay the man's Lodge and Moose Legion or woman's Chapter dues to keep them in good standing and on the active rolls of their degree. This is brother helping a brother and co-worker helping a co-worker at its highest level. Remember we are the Moose and -- We are One in Spirit, One in Purpose and One in Commitment

Thanks, Fellows and Pilgrims, for taking this appeal seriously.
